Volunteers visit Thuthuzela Community Aid Centre

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Nelson Mandela

Following in the footsteps of Madiba, The Adamjee Foundation does its part to support those that are underprivileged and disadvantaged. The volunteers have been visiting Thuthuzela Community Aid Centre since January 2016 in an effort to assist them with their English through play.

The Adamjee Foundation runs and manages the CSR programme for The Adamjee Group of Companies. Employees from those companies have the opportunity to give back to society through these charitable and humanitarian projects, of which one of them is visiting the children at Thuthuzela Community Aid Centre.

Sasol Square and Sasol Klippoortjie, filling stations that form part of The Adamjee Group of Companies, have even donated a mobile library to the home on Mandela Day in 2016 with hopes that the new books will grow the young minds.

A strong bond has been established with housemother, Elizabeth Monyela, who has been taking care of abandoned and displaced children since 2005. The Adamjee Foundation expects to continue this strong relationship, to further develop and impact the future of our country.

On behalf of the foundation, we wish Iphutheng Primary School success in their endeavours and hope we can continue to contribute to the Alex community in a positive and beneficial way.
